IOSH select Clean Estates as an Approved IOSH Training Centre

Clean Estates are delighted to have been appointed as an IOSH approved training centre to deliver Health & Safety Training Courses as part of our strategy for raising service standards.

With more than 37,000 members, IOSH are the world's biggest professional health and safety organisation.  IOSH set standards, and support, develop and connect our members with resources, guidance, events and training.  IOSH are the voice of the profession, and campaign on issues that affect millions of working people.

Courses can be delivered at a location to suit or at our own premises in Derbyshire.

There are currently two courses available:
 
Working safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety.
 
Managing safely is for managers and supervisors in any sector, and any organisation. It's designed to get managers up to speed on the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams.

Clean Estates Announce Appointment Of Andrew Woodward


March 2010

Clean Estates are pleased to announce the recent appointment of Andrew Woodward as Managing Director.
 
The founder members and shareholders - John Holbrook & Janet Perkins, whilst retaining an active interest in the business, felt the timing was right to bring in Andrew’s business expertise and experience to Clean Estates, to achieve the future development goals and success of the Organization.
 
Prior to his appointment, Andrew has assisted many businesses to achieve their objectives in a consultancy capacity, drawing on his wealth of management experience in Innovation Management, Strategic Marketing, Business Development and Strategic Planning for companies such as T&N, Caradon and LG-Philips.
 
East Midlands Development
 
Andrew’s most recent business accolade was to be presented with ‘The Growth Enabler Professional Excellence Award’ at the High Growth East Midlands Awards ceremony.
 
This award is reserved for a business coach who has participated in the Growth Enabler professional development programme, which is designed to enhance the quality of business coaching available across the East Midlands.
 
Hosted by East Midlands Development Agency (emda), this prestigious event is to celebrate the achievements of companies participating in its flagship business support programme, High Growth East Midlands.
 
Launched in January 2008, more than 160 companies from across the East Midlands, including Clean Estates, have participated in High Growth East Midlands. Since its launch, High Growth East Midlands has created or safeguarded nearly 1,000 jobs across 160 participating businesses and is forecast to collectively increase the Gross Value Added (GVA) of those businesses by £60 million.

2008 - 2009

Recognising that Clean Estates are amongst one of the region's leading innovative and growing companies, we are delighted to be invited to attend the East Midlands High Growth Programme, supported by EMDA (East Midlands Development Agency).
 
This project is for established, forward thinking East Midlands based companies, that are looking to develop existing skills and gain new skills to ensure long-term sustainability with our clients.
 
The introduction of the High Growth Programme follows a very successful pilot programme during 2006, which has subsequently been rolled out to other counties of the UK.

BALI - Clean Estates Approved Contractor

We are proud to announce Clean Estates Landscaping Division has recently achieved Approved Contractor status as a fully integrated member of BALI.

BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) is widely recognised as the Landscaping Industries most important governing body.

Clean Estates invited to meet Lord Sugar


October 2009

Clean Estates were invited to join a number of select companies throughout the East Midlands to meet up with Lord Sugar, the Government's Enterprise Champion.

 

The event was held at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham, which provided delegates the opportunity to raise current business issues directly with Lord Sugar.

 

 

Lord Sugar discussed the challenges of running a business in the present climate, which provided positive opportunities for all to draw on his experience of running a range of successful companies.

 

 



Britain in Bloom – Certificate of Excellence


September 2009

South & South East in Bloom promotes, supports and encourages community activity through gardening, horticulture and environmental sustainability across Kent, Surrey, East & West Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight and parts of Dorset and Wiltshire.

 

 

It is one of 17 independent regional campaigns which make up Britain in Bloom - Europe’s largest horticultural campaign.

Judges visit entries across the South & South East to cast their professional eye over the efforts of the communities to decide who will be the winners in each category.

Clean Estates are delighted to have been recognized for the high quality of Landscaping carried out at Crawley Leisure Park, resulting in the award of Certificate of Excellence.



Invasive Species


September 2009

Japanese Knotweed, Giant Hogweed and Himalayan Balsam all fall into this classification and are a common cause of concern for many Property Managers.

These plants can cause structural damage and can cause Health and Safety issues.

We are pleased to advise you that Clean Estates Landscaping Teams are fully trained to identify and report upon invasive weed species on sites, as part of our Estates Landscaping and Cleaning range of services.
