TCL, the landscape services group, is pleased to announce that it has acquired the estate management business, Clean Estates Limited.
The acquisition represents further progress in the implementation of TCL's strategy to create a leading national landscape services and facilities management business and builds upon the acquisition of Admiral Play and Arbscapes, both undertaken over the last 18 months.
Clean Estates, based at Hulland Ward, Derbyshire provides a range of estate management, cleaning and landscape services to the commercial property sector and employs over 190 people throughout the UK. Clean Estates will remain independent and autonomous within TCL, the business continuing to be managed by the existing experienced management team.
The Board believes that following the acquisition of Clean Estates the enlarged TCL business will provide a stable platform from which to grow the business through both extended geographic coverage and by facilitating of existing products and services.

Clean Estates has held both ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 certification for a number of years. Earlier this year the company sought better recognition of its high standards of Health & Safety and Environmental Management procedures and as a result ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 were re-awarded to Clean Estates by BSI accredited by UKAS - The United Kingdom Accreditation Service.

To further demonstrate our commitment to continually improve our systems and procedures within the business, Clean Estates forged ahead and has just been awarded OHSAS 18001 certification through UKAS.

This achievement puts us ahead of many of our competitors that do not hold this well respected industry qualification.
The (OHSAS) specification gives requirements for an occupational health and safety management system, to enable an organisation to control its OH&S risks and improve its performance.
